Visiting Casa Gassia enables us to travel through time and discover ways of life that are useful to us in order to understand our present. Casa Gassia is an eighteenth century Àneu house, situated in the middle of the old quarter Esterri d’Àneu. Magnificent building, this farm house is an example of a period when the local economy was almost exclusively based on agriculture and animals. |

Casa Gassia preserves
it’s original structure, enabling one to see the singularities of family and domestic
life in these Pyreneen valleys during the last half of the last century. From the objects exhibited offered to you, you are able to completely understand the activities that took place in the interior of a house, the relationships established between the people that lived in it, the work distribution and the domestic responsibilities and how marked the principal factors of change have been then and now. |
